EU: Update regarding Joint Procurement of medical countermeasures

BRIEF:

 The outbreak in 2009 of H1N1 pandemic influenza highlighted weaknesses in respect of equitable access and purchasing power to obtain correct contractual conditions on price, liability, confidentiality and flexibility to adjust the quantities ordered to actual needs, in the mechanisms in place in EU countries for procuring pandemic vaccines and medications.
